The Customer
Inspire Net is a boutique Internet Service Provider in New Zealand, having built and serviced a regional, rural footprint for over 20 years. Inspire has built fibre to the business and home, and is also a pioneer in fixed wireless to underserviced rural areas.
As part of servicing a segment of their customers who have very limited access to cellular services, they also built a Hytera Tier 2, and Tait Tier 3 DMR radio network, leveraging existing towers and backhaul from the fixed wireless network.
The Requirement
The next service Inspire wanted to offer was GPS tracking for farmers who were often small family businesses with limited coverage for cellular, generally the Inspire radio network was the only source of communication out on the farms.
They needed to build a solution that pulled together all the various networks into a single pane of glass and integrate all the various data sources to their existing fleet tracking solution, based on the GpsGate.com platform, GpsGate.
The Solution
Using the unique Gateway V2 platform, we integrated Tait CCDI, Tait DIP and Hytera AVL from many networks into Inspire's existing GPS tracking platform, GpsGate. The Gateway was the obvious choice as the multitude of built-in protocol support allowed rapid development of the integration at a low cost
