Version 1.x SMC Gateways are known to sometimes suffer from disk usage issues, mainly due to excessive logging. This can result in the SMC Gateway’s web interface not responding, although the SMC Gateway continues to run the flows as normal.
We are releasing this tool to recover an SMC Gateway, and to install a patch to prevent future recurrences.
The tool runs as a command line application on Windows 32 or 64bit. By default running the application/double clicking the file will run the command using the default IP address for the SMC Gateway as 192.168.100.100. In order to run the tool to a different SMC Gateway address, open aDOS box/terminal within the small folder as the “smcgatewayfixerv1.0.exe” file and type in “smcgatewayfixerv1.0 192.168.5.10” replacing the IP address as required. The tool should run and display output similar to:
SMC Gateway fixer V1.0
Connecting to 192.168.5.10:22…
Disk usage: 74%
Checking daily jobs…
