Sending Scope Pager Messages
Using a Scope transmitter such as the Connexions range, the SMC Gateway connects to the transmitter via either the COM1 or COM2 ports. The gateway can be programmed to send pager messages to individual or group idents with any of the 4 available tone types.
We recommend using COM1 to connect to the gateway, at the default setting of 1200,8N1 as this limits the rate at which data is sent.
Receiving Scope Pager Messages
By connecting the gateway to an Scope Pager Protocol device such the Scope RX2 receiver the gateway will decode inbound messages providing the target ident, tone type and text message for further processing.
